too much is happening

the thesis behind this project was to create something that felt uncomfortable to view, as if the viewer was seeing a side of things that they didn't belong in. i also wanted it to touch on my own personal life and my struggles with anxiety and elevated stress levels despite not having work that requires a lot of my time.

"too much is happening" was an incredibly fun project to work on, but also challenging in so many ways. the nature of the project meant that i was always weary of appearing on camera, but also i knew i needed to stage things so that i was appearing on camera. what i ended up with is a body of work that i think is cohesive, executes on my core idea well, and was also a lot of fun to work on.

the only creative choice i'm still on the fence about with this project is the naming convention of each image. as i was taking the images, i was imaging what each one would be named, but as i looked at the body of work as a whole, i realized that having a naming structure that went through all images was preferable. it also reinforced the "why" of this project for me, but i'm still not sold. i think there's a lot of room still to play with the names of the images, and i'm curious what people will think of the naming convention that i ended up choosing.
