Location is everything
The project I'm leaning most towards will depend on its location to transport the viewer, so while actual text will be limited, I promise that I put in work for this assignment.
The main focus of my location scouting was outside, as I think this is where the project should end up. The only caveats to that is I will likely need power of some kind, and it needs to be a location that students will walk by but not super frequently. I also wanted a shady area preferably, but also one that would be comfortable or otherwise unusual to spend time in would be good too.
I'm gonna group these together roughly by how I feel about them.
I think these are more evocative, but still don't really hit the mark for me. The main problem I have with all of these though is that my project as I imagine it today would be in the way in all of these spaces, and something that's core to the idea is that it should be voluntary. As a result again, I probably won't go with any of these, but I like them more than any of the others so far.
These are all my favorite by far. I can see myself using all of these spaces in unique and interesting ways, and they all tick the boxes I need them to tick. I think they're also evocative already, which will help my case a lot. One of these will probably end up being the final spot unless I'm rejected from all three.
